Abstract

This research was conducted in Kara Village, Bolo District, Bima Regency, and is motivated by the lack of interaction between the Village Head and the community, decreasing concern among the village government, youth, and society, as well as rising social sentiments in the village environment. The aim of this study is to examine the political communication strategies of the Village Head in developing the arts and talents of youth following the enactment of Law Number 3 of 2024 concerning the extension of the Village Head's term. Additionally, this research also aims to describe the achievements of the vision and mission for the development of youth arts and talents in Kara Village and to understand the community's perspective on the results and progress of the program. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that the Head of Village Kara designs a political communication strategy that is paternalistic, democratic, egalitarian, people-oriented, honest, open, wise, and trustworthy. This strategy is realized in the form of program socialization through the Development Planning Consultation forum (Musrenbang) as a response to Law Number 3 of 2024. This finding emphasizes the importance of the Head of Village's deep understanding of the sustainability of programs, especially in the development of youth potential in the fields of art and talent in the village environment.
